Ducks Unlimited and Paddling on South Platte River, Colorado

South Platte River South Platte River

When I was talking on Saturday to a farmer who didn't like me paddling on the South Platte River below Orchard he mentioned a couple times Ducks Unlimited. It was quite funny when on Monday I got a phone call from a photo editor of Ducks Unlimited Magazine. He wanted to use one of my two pictures for a story on the South Platte.

Both pictures were shot during my paddling in January of 2004 from a launching spot at Mitani-Tokuyasu SWA looking upstream. In both cases air temperature was really low. We don't see frost or fog very often in dry Colorado. It was time when I was shooting my video clip South Platte River Winter.
