First paddling this year on the Horsetooth Reservoir. I launched my Thunderbolt-X kayak from Lory State Park and north Eltuck Cove. It was beautiful evening, a spring scenery with geese grazing on a green grass, but there was a high wind up to 30 mph. Obviously, a cold front was passing. Next day, we woke up with a snow covering the ground in northern Colorado.
I paddled 5.5 miles in protective waters of the cove trying to shoot some pictures, but my photography from a racing kayak was quite limited by windy conditions. It was a real challenge to carry the 21' long Thunderbolt kayak back to my car with a strong side wind.
All pictures were shot as usual with Pentax Optio W10.
