A Peaceful Sunset after a Heavy Gun Fire on the Lonetree Reservoir

Last Saturday (09/01/2007) I took my Thunderbolt kayak for an evening workout on the Lonetree Reservoir south west of Loveland. Water was pretty low, but still plaenty for paddling. Unfortunately, there was almost a continuous gun fire in several spots along the shore. I guess hunters were training before the season. I stayed in the middle of the lake ...

The gun fire ceased at sunset and I was able to contemplate in peace the spectacular sky over the Front Range of Rocky Mountains. I shot several pictures with Pentax Optio W10. You can find another, tighter, version of the same sunset in Fitness Paddling blog.
