Thunderbolt Kayak and Snow Drifts on the Shore of South Platte River

Thunderbolt kayak on shore of South Platte River

This is a picture from my first paddling this year on the South Platte River going upstream from Evans Riverside Park. It is a convenient spot to launch a kayak or canoe except a pretty high and steep shore which is covered by deep snow drifts in winter. It was an occasion to shoot my Thunderbolt kayak against sky when climbing back after paddling.

This is a first post of a picture shot with my new Pentax Optio W30 camera. I still need more paddling time to test this camera and compare to my old W10.

You can compare the above picture to a similar scene from the last winter shot at the same location.
