Goose Tracks on the South Platte River

After a longer while I managed to go paddling yesterday and started a new season of 2007 on water. I paddled upstream from Evans on the South Platte River. Access to the Riverside Park was somewhat difficult due to deep snow. I had to carry my kayak around ball fields and, then, go through deep snow drifts on the river bank.

I was exercising my new Thunderbolt kayak and tested (1) a bumfortable foam seat as an alternative to the original sliding seat, and (2) Seals splash deck. They both passed the test.

I paddled total about 4.5 miles with one stop to photograph these cool goose tracks near the dam upstream of Evans. The pictures were shot with my standard paddling equipment, Pentax Optio W10. It was a beautiful evening on the river, but getting freezing cold after sunset.
