The Optio W30 is the newest model in Pentax Optio W series of cameras that capable of underwater photography without a waterproof case or other accessories, and just perfect for kayak photography. With an enhanced waterproof design, the Optio W30 performance capability has doubled to allow users to capture images underwater up to 10 feet for 2 hours (5 feet and 30 minutes for the W20). A new auto-lock mechanism automatically locks battery cover after it is closed. The battery drawer was moved to the side from the camera bottom.

I do not see any significant changes in other camera features in comparison to the Optio W20.

The Pentax Optio W30 will be available on March 31, 2007 according to amazon.com . W30 is listed with $299.95 price tag there while you can get Optio W20 for $247.99 including free shipping.
